“The Department of Social and Developmental Psychology (hereinafter DPPSS, from the Italian name), Sapienza University of Rome, is one of the first university departments in the history of psychology in Italy. The academic staff includes 50 professors and researchers; the administrative staff includes 1 Financial officer, 5 administrators, 1 electronics technologist.
The combined expertise of our Department spans the areas of social psychology, developmental psychology, educational sciences, as well as some sociology and anthropology, and it reflects a wide range of approaches to the study of mind, behaviour, society. The Department contributes to many national and international research projects, offers various training programs, laboratory facilities and is visited by many researchers and students from all over the world.
The departmental structure is currently divided into multiple locations: the main headquarters is located in Via dei Marsi 78 in the building of Psychology, the secondary one is in Villa Mirafiori, Via Carlo Fea 2.
